Job Description:
Position Summary
Candidates joining the QA team will be responsible for testing and overall verification of Aptify software releases across the entire product suite.
The QA team follows a structured testing methodology which utilizes written test cases, unit testing, regression testing, and automated testing for UI behavior and business rules.
Team members will be exposed to a wide variety of technologies, including client server applications and web apps utilizing both ASP.NET and Silverlight.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain expertise in the core framework functionality and transaction-process aspects of Aptify business products
Develop and maintain test plans and scripts for Quality Assurance that provide detailed and structured testing methodology for Aptify business applications
Test new product applications and enhancements in preparation for their elevation to marketable product and/or production status
Closely interact with Aptify Engineers during the development and testing of new or updated product functionality
Work with Project Leads and Project Managers to gain a thorough understanding of how customers are using the software to run their business
Document complex business processing logic in the Aptify Business applications and work with the Documentation team to integrate this content into Product and Training Manuals
Document and research all product discrepancies according to established Quality Assurance procedures
Convert manual test scripts into automated scripts using Aptify’s automated test tools
Desired Candidate Profile:
Requirements – Associate QA Engineer
Engineering or Post-Graduation Degree (preferably in Computer Science).
Educational curriculum includes introduction to software testing concepts
Understanding of basic database concepts, experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Requirements – QA Engineer:
Graduation / Post-Graduation or Engineering Degree (preferably in Computer Science).
2-3 years of work experience in software testing
Automation experience, especially Silk Test, is desired.
Understanding of basic database concepts, experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
Exposure to Business applications, accounting fundamentals preferred.
Exposure to both client-server and web-based application testing will be an added advantage.
A good familiarity with Microsoft Technologies.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactive, self-starter attitude.
